Retina Group of Florida features a staff of eight Board-Certified Ophthalmologists and Retinal Specialists. Ophthalmology, like other medical practices, includes numerous sub-specialties.  Some ophthalmologists specialize in removal of cataracts and others in cosmetic enhancements known as oculoplastic surgery.

 

Our ophthalmologists are all Retina Specialists who are fellowship-trained with two additional years of education beyond medical school and residency training. This additional education focuses solely on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases that impact the health of the paper-thin tissue at the back of the eye known as the retina, and the clear, jelly-like substance that fills the rear two-thirds of the eyeball known as the vitreous.
