Darin R. Goldman, M.D.
Dr. Darin R. Goldman joined the Retina Group of Florida after completing his two-year fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at the New England Eye Center/Tufts University School of Medicine and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston.
Dr. Goldman received both his Bachelor of Science and Medical degrees from the University of Florida, where he participated in the prestigious seven-year Medical Honors Program. During medical school, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated with honors in academic excellence and research. He completed a transitional internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center followed by his residency training at UCLA/Jules Stein Eye Institute. During residency, Dr. Goldman served as the resident quality improvement officer and earned a clinical research award for best clinical research by a resident.

Dr. Goldman’s research interests include retinal imaging, retinal vein occlusion, age-related macular degeneration, and retinal detachment. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, including in the journals Ophthalmology, RETINA, Ophthalmic Surgery Lasers and Imaging Retina, JAMA Ophthalmology, Survey of Ophthalmology, and the Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. He has also written numerous textbook chapters and co-authored three textbooks on retinal disease. He served as a sub-investigator on over 25 clinical trials during his fellowship training in Boston. He has also presented his research at multiple national and international meetings including annual meetings for the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Retina Society.
He is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS), the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society, and the Palm Beach County Ophthalmology Society (PBCOS).
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, running, fishing/boating, and reading.
